The Reggae Boyz are set to kick off the semifinal round of CONCACAF qualifiers for the South Africa 2010 World Cup against Canada in Toronto on August 20 at the BMO Field starting at 5:30pm ET.

The return game will be played at the National Stadium in Kingston on September 19.

This is a big boost for the National team as they will play in a city that is home to hundred of thousands of Jamaicans and other persons from the Caribbean.

“I am extremely satisfied that the city of Toronto will be chosen to host the game between Jamaica and Canada,” said Captain Horace Burrell, President of the Jamaica Football Federation to Jamaicawin.com.

“I am hoping that this will have a positive effect on the team as so many Jamaicans live in Toronto. I am hoping that they will purchase their tickets early as the team needs all the support they can get when they start this crucial round of qualification.”

Burrell, who is currently on football business in Europe, said that tickets for the game will go on sale on July 14 through Ticketmaster (ticketmaster.ca or 416.872.5000)
