- Volleyball
Mark Lewis and
Dany Wilson, Jamaica’s no.1 ranked beach volleyballers, have been
actively participating in the 2008 NORCECA Beach Volleyball
Circuit. They finished 3rd in the Dominican Republic,
behind USA (winners) and Puerto Rico. They finished ahead of
powerhouses Cuba , Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic in an
Olympic year. They recently shared 5th position with
the US in the Puerto Rican leg of the tournament, behind winners
Puerto Rico. Notably, they defeated Canada in this competition.
The local Beach
Volleyball Circuit has an islandwide reach and will see other legs
being played in St.Ann , St.Mary, St.James, Negril and Trelawny.
